HOW WE
HELP
Our programs provide educational enrichment, encourage teaching innovation, and reward excellence among students and staff.
GRANTS
Since 2002, the Foundation has awarded $778,695.82 in grants to Cuero ISD administrators, faculty, and staff for resources, projects, and programs outside the scope of traditional school funding.
The Educator Grant Program is designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize, and reward innovative and creative instructional approaches to the accomplishment of defined objectives. Cuero ISD employees who are involved in the instruction of students or related support services benefiting students are eligible to apply for grants annually. The number of grants awarded each year is dependent on available funds. The maximum amount a grant can be awarded for is $7,500.
The Grant Application Review Committee, which is a subcommittee of the Foundation’s Programs Committee, scores the grant applications based on a scoring matrix with an emphasis on innovation, student impact, measurable objectives, an implementation plan, an evaluation plan, and a well-defined budget. The highest scoring applications are presented to the board for funding.
For reference, the 2020 grant application form can be found HERE, and a complete list of grants awarded in recent years can be found below.
