HOW WE HELP
GRANTS
Since 2002, the Foundation has awarded $926,966 in grants to Cuero ISD administrators, faculty, and staff for resources, projects, and programs outside the scope of traditional school funding.
The Educator Grant Program is designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize, and reward innovative and creative instructional approaches to the accomplishment of defined objectives. Cuero ISD employees who are involved in the instruction of students or related support services benefiting students are eligible to apply for grants annually. Grant requests should focus on objectives, challenges or concerns at the campus or district level which will benefit several grade levels, an entire campus or the entire district. The number of grants awarded each year is dependent on available funds.
Grants may be submitted throughout the school year however funds are available January thru December. There is no specific due date to submit a grant request.
The Grant Application Review Committee, which is a subcommittee of the Foundation’s Programs Committee, scores the grant applications based on a scoring matrix with an emphasis on creativity, student impact, an implementation plan, an evaluation plan, and a well-defined budget. The highest scoring applications are presented to the board for funding. A sample of the Cuero ISD Education Foundation Grant Scoring Matrix can be viewed HERE.
