Scholarships were awarded in June to former CHS graduates currently enrolled in college. The Foundation also awarded a $10,000 scholarship to an alternate CHS high school graduate.

Cuero, Texas - May 21, 2023 - The Cuero ISD Education Foundation is pleased to announce that it has awarded an additional $50,000 in Frederick W. Fischer "Helping Hands" Scholarships to former CHS graduates who are currently attending college.
Thanks to the remarkable generosity of our donors, the Cuero ISD Education Foundation was able to provide financial assistance to former CHS graduates, empowering them to continue to pursue their academic dreams and make a positive impact on their communities.
The scholarship was in the amount of $10,000 and were awarded as follows:
Desirae Flessner: Desirae is a sophomore at Sam Houston College where she is currently in the pre-nursing program.
Cason Jander: Cason is a sophomore at Texas A&M University where he is majoring in Agricultural Systems Management.
Tyler Maroney: Tyler is a junior attending both Blinn College and Texas A&M University. He is pursuing his degree in AG Economics.
Kendal Trevino: Kendal is a sophomore at Louisiana State University where she is majoring in Biological Engineering.
Brady Watson: Brady is a senior at Baylor University where he is majoring in Music Education.
Along with the $50,000 in scholarships awarded to college recipients, a $10,000 Frederick W. Fischer "Helping Hands" Scholarship was awarded to alternate Alexis Haun, a 2023 CHS Senior. Alexis with be attending Victoria College where she will be majoring in Physical Therapy.
