Cuero ISD Education Foundation Awards Over $100,000 in Scholarships to Cuero HS Students

Cuero, Texas - May 18, 2023 - The Cuero ISD Education Foundation is pleased to announce that it has awarded a total of $100,551.18 in scholarships to deserving students at Cuero High School. The scholarships were presented during the Scholarship Awards Ceremony held on May 17.
Thanks to the remarkable generosity of our donors, the Cuero ISD Education Foundation was able to provide financial assistance to students, empowering them to pursue their academic dreams and make a positive impact on their communities.
The scholarships were awarded as follows:
The Andrew J. Creighton Memorial Scholarship was awarded to William Turk in the amount of $1,301.18.
The Lawrence E. Dietze Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Kelton Dunn in the amount of $500.
The TrustTexas Bank Education Scholarship was awarded to Jacob Baker in the amount of $1,000.
The Ada Kirk “Serendipity” Scholarship was awarded to Cecilia Orch in the amount of $750.
The Lenny Moore Memorial Scholarship was awarded to William Carbonara, Escynce Cunningham, and Lunden Hahn in the amount of $2,500 each.
The George & Pat Olson Memorial Scholarship was awarded to William Carbonara in the amount of $1,000.
The Kay Reese Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Madison Fink in the amount of $1,500.
The Gail Elaine Salcher Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Cecilia Orch in the amount of $2,000.
The William “Buster” & Frances R. Gilbreth Future Educator Scholarship was awarded to Kaylynn Cowey in the amount of $2,500.
The Cuero ISD Education Foundation General Scholarship was awarded to Carmen Deleon in the amount of $2,500.
The Frederick W. Fischer “Helping Hands” Scholarship was awarded to Jessica Albrecht, Olivia Blank, Katlyn Mendez, Jordan Pierce, Hannah Sweatman, Bailey Tweedle, Jared Villanueva-Luna, and Allison Zengerle in the amount of $10,000 each.
The Cuero ISD Education Foundation's board of directors would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to all the scholarship recipients for their outstanding achievements. These students have shown dedication, commitment, and excellence in their academic pursuits, and they deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments.

Looking ahead, the Cuero ISD Education Foundation is excited to announce that an additional $60,000 in Frederick W. Fischer "Helping Hands" Scholarships will be awarded in June to graduates of Cuero High School who are currently enrolled in college. These scholarships aim to provide ongoing support to students as they continue their educational journey and pursue their career aspirations.
