The Cuero ISD Education Foundation Welcomes Two New Board Members

We are thrilled to announce the addition of two remarkable individuals to the Cuero ISD Education Foundation Board: Ben Zimmerman and Annemarie Leslie-Mees. Both Ben and Annemarie bring unique perspectives, valuable experience, and a deep commitment to the mission of our foundation.


Ben Zimmerman:


Ben Zimmerman's roots run deep within the Cuero community. A graduate of Cuero High School himself, Ben, alongside his wife, shares a profound connection to the district that shaped their formative years and now nurtures their three daughters. As the Founder and Managing Attorney of The Zimmerman Firm, PLLC, Ben brings over a decade of legal expertise to our board.

His decision to join the Cuero ISD Education Foundation Board stems from a desire to give back and make a tangible difference in the lives of students. Ben is eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals to ensure that every student in our district receives a top-tier education, empowering them to thrive and positively impact their communities.


Annemarie Leslie-Mees:


Annemarie Leslie-Mees brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit management and community service to our board. With six years as the Director of Operations at the Boys and Girls Club of Cuero, Annemarie understands the transformative power of education and mentorship in shaping the lives of young people.

Driven by a passion for supporting children and teens on their journey to success, Annemarie is excited to contribute her expertise to the Cuero ISD Education Foundation. The Cuero ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt organization that shares a mission of enhancing opportunities for Cuero public schools by working to increase private and corporate support for educational activities, supporting activities not funded by tax dollars, fostering creative approaches to education through private grants and involvement, and awarding Foundation funds through a volunteer Board of Directors made up of business, community and educational leaders.
