The Cuero ISD Education Foundation is committed to transparency and the security of our community's information. We are writing to address a recent email security incident involving our primary email address, info@cueroedfoundation.org, which was compromised over the past weekend.
During this time, a phishing email was unfortunately sent to some contacts from this address. We want to assure everyone that upon discovering the unauthorized access, our team immediately took action to secure the account. We have implemented enhanced security measures to prevent future occurrences.
We have also directly contacted all recipients of the phishing email to warn them not to click on any links contained within it. If you received an email from info@cueroedfoundation.org over the weekend that seemed suspicious, please delete it without clicking on any links.
It is crucial to understand that this incident was limited solely to the contact list associated with this specific email address. We want to emphatically state that no other platforms or systems holding private information, donor data, or billing information were affected. Your sensitive personal and financial data remains secure on our other platforms.
We understand that such incidents can be concerning, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or alarm this may have caused. The trust and support of our community are incredibly important to us, and we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of security for your information.
Thank you for your understanding and continued commitment to the Cuero ISD Education Foundation.
