Annual Academic Recognition Banquet
In May, along with the Bohman Clinic and Wells Fargo Bank, we hold our Annual Academic Recognition Banquet honoring our top graduates as well as all of our top honor students grades 9-12.
2009 Kickoff Banquet
On September 26, we hosted our 2009 Kickoff Banquet at the VFW Hall. The theme for this year was "Past, Present and Future Stars" and there were many shining STARS to be honored. The evening started with a social hour followed by a fabulous Fajita buffet dinner. Over 40 silent auction items were displayed for bids while the live auction featured over 20 unique items. Guests were entertained by "Touch of Gold."
Staff members of Cuero ISD prepared over 20 gift baskets as part of the silent auction. It was also noted that since 2002, CISD staff members have contributed over $55,500 to the Foundation.
In its eight-year history, this event has raised close to $700,000 for teaching grants, school projects, scholarships and in-kind donations.
This year's event raised over $36,000. Year-to-date, we have collected over $89,000 towards our 2009 goal of $100,000. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO MADE THIS POSSIBLE!
